Trash Panda Publishing is a small, independent publisher based in Northborough, Massachusetts, specializing in publishing romantasy novels.
Founded in May 2025, Trash Panda Publishing is the creative venture of David James, born from a lifelong passion for books, storytelling, and imaginative worlds.
DJ has spent years crafting original narratives for gaming sessions, including richly detailed settings like his beloved world of Valla(TM), as well as engaging short stories.
Now, Trash Panda Publishing serves as the vehicle through which DJ is finally bringing his personal works to readers everywhere, sharing adventures and experiences honed through countless hours of storytelling and gameplay.

Valla(TM) is a fantasy world created by David James as the setting for his novels.
DJ has been working on Valla for over ten years and has told many, many stories in this setting.
On December 13, 2025, Trash Panda Publishing is thrilled to publish “Escala’s Wish,” the first story set in Valla.
DJ is working on other stories set in his world, and we are thrilled to be his exclusive publisher.
DJ has informed us that he is working on “Mad as a Hornet,” which we hope to publish in late 2026.
